Spartan Explorer Scout Unit (ESU) is Chester’s newest Explorer unit based in Christleton. We meet every Wednesday night from 8pm-9:30pm at the Scout Hut on Whitchurch Road.

The unit is leader by a group of enthusiastic leaders, all with Scouting backgrounds and experience in Chester with the other sections of the movement.

Programme
When the unit was first set up, we asked the original members what they’d like to achieve and enjoy at the explorer Scout unit. They wanted to design their own programme that had a strong focus on the top awards in the movement as well as a good balance of social and other adventurous activities. The leadership team attend to facilitate the requests/requirements of the programme that is dreamt up by the members and shares the units passion for working towards awards. The current programme continuing until summer is shown below.
